ICDP training measures include both general courses covering all key aspects of scientific drilling and courses focused on specific themes. The general training courses are typically held annually at or near an active drill site and are designed to build competence, confidence, and practical expertise in support of current and future ICDP projects.
To support proponents, engineers, and scientists in their specific tasks within a drilling project, ICDP also offers tailored training courses on demand. Principal investigators of ongoing or upcoming ICDP drilling projects are encouraged to suggest training courses. The course agenda should be project-related, and both the themes and the level of the course can be adapted to the needs of each ICDP project and its science team.

Specific Training Courses
In order to support proponents, engineers, and scientists for their specific tasks within their drilling project we provide a number of tailored training courses or workshops. For ICDP projects, we recommend to already apply for these in the workshop proposal and at least in the full proposal.
