A big day at OmanDP Site BA1. We welcomed Margot Godard, Mazin Al Salmani and Saif Al Shamsi to the team. Mazin and Saif are geologists from Sultan Qaboos University. With rotary drilling starting at BA1C and hydrological experiments continuing in BA1A, the coring rig produced a record 42 meters of core taking BA1B past 200 m. Faster drilling rates heralded the appearance of harzburgites in BA1B.
