Dormant icdp Projects

...multidisciplinary projects at world-class geological sites

Some proposals to ICDP have made it through peer-review, and the project teams received some initial funding. There might have been first Science Workshops. Still, some ICDP projects have stalled at an early stage, for various reasons. Reasons might include: politics, people, lack of additional funding, logistics, missing specialized equipment or others.

However, any of these older projects might receive new interest, and get reactivated. For example, the EGER Drilling Project was originally proposed in 2003, but field work was actually carried out, with intermissions, in 2019-2021.

Projects have received some initial funding, but then stalled for some reason.

Only projects older than 2017 (proposed until 2016) are listed.
Younger projects are not really considered 'stalled'.
