Today we recovered 27.5 feet of core drilled over the last 24 hours. All the rock was dense, highly fractured, and lithologically similar. In fact, not a single contact between units was observed. It appears we may be drilling through a very large pillow lava interior. At the time of this report, 7:30 HST, we are drilling at a depth of 10,310 feet. This is the final drilling update of the year, as we are shutting down drilling operations tommorow through the holidays. Aloha and Mele Kalikimaka!
