We saw a lot of interesting rock today, mainly pillow lavas with thick and complex glassy margins. These margins were often the sites of strong alteration, as evinced by the high abundances of secondary minerals found coating them. As we have seen over the last few days, the brecciated zones observed today between pillows were restricted in thickness to less than 10 cm. At the time of this report, we are drilling at a depth of 10,607'.
