Today was a good day for coring, as we retrieved many core barrels that were full or nearly full to their 10' capacity. The rock was massive and moderately fractured, but we were able to piece it together into continuous sections. A visiting University of Hawaii at Hilo geology class was among the first to see these rocks from deep inside the interior of a hawaiian volcano. We are currently drilling at 10,427'.
