We fished out the drill string and core barrel last night, and tripped in with a new bit. The previous bit had an inner diameter that was worn out after drilling only 14.5 feet of rubble! Loose rock damages the bit very quickly. We are currently pumping mud into the hole and will begin coring operations again this evening.
