Last night as we attempted to wash back down to the bottom of the hole, the bit encountered some rubble at 9,912'. This rock may have fallen into the hole during our holiday break, probably as a result of water flow in the deeper, uncased region. This rubble was not unexpected, but we didn't have any mud circulation at the bit during drilling. Without lubrication, the teeth of the bit melted and didn't progress very far. We replaced the destroyed bit this morning and tripped back into the hole. If we monitor our mud circulation carefully, we should be able to get to the bottom of the hole soon.
