After some drilling difficulties last night, we have recovered three consecutive runs today that have all been the full or nearly full 10 feet. These runs all seem to be part of a single, thick pillow lava. During this project, we have already drilled through pillows that range in thickness from a matter of inches to many tens of feet. You never know what sort of rock the next run will bring, so check back tomorrow! At the time of this report, we are coring at a depth of 10,706'.
