The last of the drillers arrived in Hilo last night, and we began operations this morning. After fixing the power tongs, we were able to trip the remaining pipe the rest of the way out of the hole. We replaced the old bit (see additional pictures) with a new one and headed back down to the bottom. Coring should begin overnight, and we hope to have rock core to process tomorrow morning.
