Because of the depth of the lake at Pi-4 (145M),
Abner, a Guatemalan chemistry student, prepares samples from Lake Macanche. The samples will be used for understanding the relationship between past and present lake conditions.
Because of the depth of the lake at Pi-4 (145M), it took nearly 24 hours to lower and weld the drill casing. Drilling at the site began at ~16:00 on Thursday.
