Exquisite laminated carbonate bed developed within the red playa lake sediments of the Brooks Mill Mudstone Formation, in the Upper Triassic. These beds show very well developed lithological rhythms that are likely forced by Milankovitch cycles in the same manner as the marine Lias rocks that are the primary focus of our project.
