Dseis Team uses a core orientation kit to obtain orientation of the core. A special tool containing accelerometers is added at the top of the core barrel with the aim to record position of the core barrel in space. Once the barrel retrieved out of the hole, drilling operators can reorient the core accordingly to the indication from the tool. The 3 meters drill run is marked at its bottom with a wax crayon as shown by the picture.
