The ICDP 2025 Training Course, held 14–20 September in Weinan, Shaanxi Province, China, brought together researchers from diverse scientific and cultural backgrounds for an immersive, weeklong introduction to scientific drilling within the ICDP framework.
The program combined expert lectures, hands-on fieldwork, and interactive sessions, equipping participants with practical skills in drilling engineering, coring methods, advanced downhole logging, and sample and data management.
