After having the brand new bit in bore hole
A view of the rig from the North. The SAFOD well is steadily advancing towards the San Andreas Fault (approximately towards the front left corner of the rig) at 8600 ft below the surface.
After having the brand new bit in bore hole assembly we are making steady progress at a rate of approximately 20 ft/hr at 8634 ft depth.
