After the 31/2 inch string was RIH the string was fixed and the well was closed. Drilling activity ended at noon on January 25th and the rig crew started to move the rig.
Stimulation and well logging was completed yesterday. The rig crew is currently preparing the BOP and afterwards the 3 1/2 inch string will RIH and subsequently the drilling activity at RN-15/IDDP-2 will be completed.
5.84 m core was recovered in the last core run yesterday. Pumping for stimulation of the well has started yesterday late evening and is ongoing. ÍSOR logging crew will carry out an injection test at 9:00.
Coring was done at about 23 last night and was finished just before midnight at 4652 m after almost 9 m of coring. Subsequently string POOH and at 09:30 this morning the bit was at 1800 m.
Core run 11 commenced at 00:15 yesterday. Coring was done from 4634,2 m to 4642,8 m. POOH started at 01:30 and the core barrel was out of well in the late afternoon. About 8,5 m of core were retrieved, mostly dolerite/diabase with some felsic streaks/veins. Another core run is ongoing and the bit is at 500 m at 09:30.
Drilling through casing shoe at 1312,4-1313,3 m was completed at 05:30 this morning. Some pressure drop was observed as shoe was drilled, otherwise no problems. The 3 1/2" stands are being RIH and the bit is at 2880 m at 10:25. About 5,5 l/s are pumped on kill-line.
The work on the blow-out preventer was completed at 16:30 and a pressure test was then carried out, which was completed at 06:00 yesterday. Afterwards the bottom hole assembly which includes a 6" drill bit was started to run in hole at noon. At midnight the drill bit was at a depth of 600 m. While running in with the drill string the well was cooled after each stand. Running in hole continued today and the top of cement within the sacrificial casing was detected at a depth of 1185 m at about 02:40. Subsequently drilling into cement commenced and current depth is 1244 m.
Waiting on cement continued yesterday. At about 09:30 yesterday ÍSOR logging engineers arrived at the rig site and carried out a cement bond log (CBL) and temperature log. Logging was completed at about 13:15. From 13:15 to 19:30 the rig crew cut the casing, Subsequently the rig crew worked on the blow out preventer.
Yesterday the rig crew started to prepare for cementing the casing and from 22 to 22:35 in total 24 m3 of cement slurry (density: 1.92 g/cm3) was pumped down to cement the casing. This was followed by 25.06 m3 of water. The cement job was completed just before midnight. Waiting on cement is still ongoing.
POOH of the 3 ½” string was finished by 08:00 this morning. About 15 l/s were pumped on kill-line. Subsequently the crew prepared for PT logging. By 09:00 the ISOR logging team were on site and logging commenced.
Running in 7" liner was finished on December 30th. An obstruction was encountered at about 4571 m so the liner was eventually set at 4571,5 m (4401 TVD). Liner hanger is at 2851,5 MD. Subsequently the 5" singles were laid down and placed on the ground at rig site. Following this operation on December 31st, 3 ½" singles were picked up and made into stands. This operation continued through the whole of yesterday and is still ongoing today. A temperature log will be executed once the 3 ½" stands are ready. .
The 7 inch liner was in the casing last night at 03:30 hrs. Since then the crew has been working on lowering the liner to the setting point (approx 2910 m). Some problems associated with lowering the liner have been encountered (weight exceeding weight of liner/obstructions) and operations are ongoing at 10:40 this Friday morning.
POOH operations commenced again from 2117 m depth at 20:30 on December 28th. These had been terminated due to stormy conditions. Between 00:30 and 04:45 today the BHA, including the Weatherford logging tool, were broken off. Subsequently the crew started preparations for running in the liner which commenced about 07:00 this morning. At 09:00 some 15 pipes were in the hole. Weather conditions at rig site are bad.
Operations have been stopped since 15.30 yesterday due to a bad storm. The drill bit is now at 2100 m. As soon as the weather improves POOH will continue.?
Logging with MWD equipment from Weatherford finished last night and POOH is currently underway. The depth of the drill bit is now 3292 m. It is very windy on site with even higher wind speed is forecasted today. The weather is bound to have some effects on the speed of operations, and has already slowed down the POOH.
The Weatherford crew prepared the LWD equipment for being run in hole, which commenced at 20:15 last night. About 40 l/s were pumped on the string and 15 l/s on kill-line. The LWD tool has been operating without problems and was at 3083 m at 10:30 this morning.
Pulling out of hole continued yesterday while pumping 13.5. L/s via the kill-line. Reaming was necessary between 3415 and 3410 m. The drill bit was out at the rig floor at about 16:00. Inspection of the drill bit yielded that the drill bit was still in good condition. While pulling out of hole the drill string was carefully inspected. Thereby damages at 4 singles were discovered. The first single was calculated to a depth of 3310 m and the other 3 were slightly deeper. From 16:45 to 22:15 the top drive was inspected and slip and cut was carried out. Logging engineers from Weather ford arrived on site yesterday and started to rig up the logging tools for logging while drilling/tripping. Today the rig crew carried out cleaning and maintenance works while the logging while drilling/tripping tool is still in the rig up process.
From 17 to 21:30 yesterday air was injected (3 L/s) with polymer and soap. This was followed by pumping of 45 L/s water mixed with polymer. This process was repeated once. At 21:30 the string was free again and pulling out of hole started subsequently. During reaming 45 L/s fluid was pumped through the string and 13 L/s via kill-line. Further reaming was necessary at a depth of 4533 m. During reaming polymer and soap were injected. Pulling out of hole is ongoing today while pumping 13.5. L/s via the kill-line. Currently the drill bit is at a depth of 1500 m.
Reaming upwards continued yesterday and today with only very limited success in uplift. During reaming 43-45 L/s fluid was pumped through the string and 13 L/s via kill-line. Efforts are ongoing and the drill bit is currently located at depth of about 4615 m.
Reaming upwards continued today. During reaming polymer pills were added and the pumping rate was 42-43 L/s through the string and 13 L/s via kill-line. The drill bit is currently located a 4617m.
Yesterday at about 21:30 it seemed that something fall on the string when the well was 4626 m deep. Since then reaming upwards is on going the drill bit being currently at 4623 m.
Drilling into formation started again at 09:30 yesterday at 4537 m while pumping 40 l/s through the string and 13 L/s on kill-line. From 12 to 13:45 some reaming was necessary due to torque spikes. Drilling continued afterwards with a constant rate of penetration and at midnight the well depth was 4556 m. During drilling polymer was added constantly.Drilling into hard formation continued today and currently the well is 4566 m deep.
RIH commenced yesterday at 11:30 and the string was at bottom of the well at 09:45 this morning. No fill was detected. Some reaming was necessary below 3650 m.
?Yesterday the well was drilled to 4537 m and then rinsed properly at 13:00. Subsequently the inclination was logged at 35,9° at 4495 m depth. POOH commenced at 21:00 last night but had been delayed due to weather conditions. The bit was out of the well shortly after 9:00 this morning. It is in reasonable condition but well under gauge (1/8th) as is the pipe stabilizer. The motor stabilizer, however, is in order.
Drilling has been ongoing for the last 24 hrs without problems. Pumping is 38 l/s on stand-pipe and 13,5 l/s on kill-line. Depth at 09:00 this morning was at 4465 m.
Drilling into formation continued and lasted for the entire day and was only interrupted between 14:30 and 17:30 for reaming the interval from 4373 to 4354 m. At midnight the well was 4392 m deep. During drilling polymer was added and the well was regularly circulated. Drilling into formation continued and currently the well is at a depth of 4412 m.
Drilling into formation commenced at 08:00 at a depth of 4311 m. At 12:30 the well was circulated. From 13:30 to 16:00 a chemical tracer was injected while pumping 20 L/s through the string and 14.5 L/s on the kill-line. Drilling into formation started again at 16:00 at a depth of 4324 m. At about 20:00 the string got stuck when the rig crew wanted to make another connection and the drilling crew reamed slightly up to 4325 m. Reaming from 4325 to 4322 m continued and at 01:30 the string was free again and drilling into formation commenced at 4334 m. Drilling is ongoing and current depth is 4355 m.
The string was pulled out of hole and the core barrel was out of hole at 12:00 yesterday. In total 23 cm of rock was recovered in core run 10. From 12:00 to 16:00 the rig crew worked on the subs, inspected the top drive and cleaned pipes. At 16:00 running in with a tricone drill bit and motor (no MWD) started. Running in with the drill string continued this morning and the drill bit just (8:00) reached the bottom and drilling into formation will commence soon.
Running into hole for core run 10 continued yesterday while pumping 13 L/s on the kill-line. From 3905 to 4000 reaming was necessary while running in with the core barrel. Reaming continued down to the bottom of the well that was detected at 4309.5 m. Coring started at 16:45 while pumping 17 L/s through the string and 13 L/s on the kill-line. Coring was terminated at about 01:00 this morning at a depth of 4311.2 m. Subsequently the string is being pulled out of hole and at 08:00 the core barrel was at a depth of 1100 m.
Coring was terminated at 8:00 yesterday after coring from 4308.7 to 439.09 m. Subsequently the string was pulled out of hole pumping 13 L/s on the kill-line. The core barrel was at the rig floor at 20:45. Unfortunately, no core was recovered in core run 9. Afterwards a new core barrel was prepared and running into hole for core run 10 started at 23:30. The core barrel at 08:00 was at a depth of 3250 m.
Yesterday the core bit and barrel were RIH without any significant problems. At 20:15 a temperature log was executed down to 4285 m and between 01:06 and 04:30 the inclination was logged. The data are presently being analysed. Subsequently coring began at 05:00 from 4308,7-4309,9 m. At present the core is being POOH and the bit is at 3700 m at 09:50.
POOH continued yesterday pumping 13 l/s on kill-line, and at 22:00 the BHA had been broken off. Some problems with a pipe occurred between 16:15 and 20:00. Subsequently the BHA unit was rebuilt using a core bit, barrel, stabilizer, jar, collars and heavies. Cutting off drilling line took 3 hours but the core unit was RIH at 03:00 this morning. The core bit is at 2100 m depth at 10:00 this morning. Once down hole the well will be logged via the pipes.
Yesterday and last night the well was reamed to 4310 m. A 10 m bottom fill was rinsed off using 40 l/s on string and 13 l/s on kill-line in addition to polymer. Tripping out commenced at 02:45 this morning. Bit is at 2270 m at 10:30. Once the BHA is out of well a new assembly will be prepared using a core bit and barrel. This will be RIH and once in logging will be executed.
The problems encountered in pulling the string was finally overcome and the string was pulled to 3500 m. At 3471 an obstruction was encountered and needed reaming and further reaming from 3350-3200 m. Subsequently string was tripped in again and the bit at 10:30 hrs, is at 3410 m depth.
Drilling continued all of yesterday until about 22 in the evening, when the torque suddenly spiked at 4308 m depth. After reaming the well between 4281 and 4308m drilling continued again at 02:30 this morning until 04:30 when the torque spiked again at 4310 m depth. The string was pulled but problems were encountered between 4280 and 4286 m depth. At that point rotation became difficult to maintain. About 40 l/s were pumped on the string and 12 l/s on kill-line.The drill bit depth at 11:30 is at 4282 m.
