The well was sidetracked out of its original RN-17 borehole at 1995m but started to drift back into the RN-17 borehole again at a depth of 2001.4m drilling into the lower fish, where the drill-bit got stuck, following that a decision was made to abandon operations for now and continue in the new year with the drill-rig "Geysir". Operation to rig down Jötunn will continue but we from the IDDP team at Reykjanes take a brake from this page and wish you all Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
