The depth of the well this morning at 8 o’clock is 621 m. Yesterday´s drilling went slowly with an average bit rotation around 150 RMP, the WOB was kept around 15 tonnes. Altogether 61 m were drilled with an average ROP of 3 m/hr. A circulation loss of 8 l/s was measured at a depth of 618 m. Drilling was stopped four times due to problems with the mud pump system. At 23.30 o´clock last night, one of the mud pumps broke down for good, a new one will be sent to the drilling site from Reykjavík today. In the meanwhile the drill string will be pulled up and the drill bit examined. Inclination measurements showed that the well is inclining 1.5° at 603 m depth.
