Over the last 24 hours the hole was deepened with 117 m and depth at midnight was 1053 m. Depth at 8 o'clock this morning was 1088 m. There is no loss of circulation and inclination has been within 1-1.5°. Drilling has progressed with an average WOB of 5 tonnes and 220 RPM of drill bit. The rock formation from 900-970 m depth consists of altered basaltic tuff intersected by thin basaltic dykes. Below 960 m are layers of basalt breccia, glassy basalt and fine-medium grained basalt. Alteration minerals are abundant below 944 m depth, amongst the observed alteration minerals are epidote, amfibole, wollastonite, quartz and coarse grained clay.
