Prof. Jean-Pierre Henriet, Emeritus Professor at the Renard Centre of Marine Geology, Department of Geology of the Ghent University, and Flemish representative of the Executive Committee of ICDP, has passed away.

His presence at the panel meetings, his encouragement and his advice within ICDP will be profoundly missed.
