Paolo Gasparini, Professor Emeritus at the Department of Physical Sciences, University of Napoli Federico II, member of the Assembly of Governors of ICDP since 2008, passed away. The INGV, the Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology refers to him as "one of the most leading figures in the field of Earth Sciences and the analysis of natural hazards, a high-level scientific personality whose thinking has inspired and continues to inspire generations of researchers."
