The objective for the Taiwan Chelungpu-fault (TCDP) installation is to monitor a the fault where large displacements occurred during the Chi-Chi earthquake and to measure the physical properties and mechanical behaviour, as well as to document the state of stress of the rocks above and below the fault zone over a long time period.
The instrument array included: pT gauges, chemical sensors, U-tube sampling line and 7 stages of 3c seismometer (analogue) package.
