TADP - Second Coring Phase Started...

After successfull geophysical logging, cementation and BOP installation, the next coring phase started at August 16. On August 17, more than 25% of the drilling was already completed as 620 meters in depth were exceeded.

The Trans-Amazon Drilling Project (TADP) aims to document the evolution of biodiversity of the Amazon forest across most of its entire reach throughout its entire history, and to determine how the evolution of the physical environment (e.g. tectonics, climate, geomorphology) has shaped the generation, distribution, and preservation of neotropical biodiversity.
