MagellanPlus ICDP/ECORD Workshop Series

Applications for the Land-to-Sea Shaking Studies Workshop 2025 are open!

The Land-to-Sea Shaking Studies Workshop 2025 is set to take place 21-24 October 2025, at National Taiwan University, Taipei. This event is part of the prestigious MagellanPlus ICDP/ECORD Workshop Series, which has a long-standing tradition of fostering cutting-edge research in geosciences. Applications are open until 4 May.

This workshop builds on the success of previous events in the series, bringing together international experts and early-career researchers to advance our understanding of seismic hazards at active plate boundaries. With a focus on integrating onshore and offshore earthquake records, the event aims to unlock new insights into subaqueous paleoseismology.

Key Highlights:

  • Collaborative Environment: Engage with leading scientists and students from diverse fields, including marine seismology and limnology.
  • Renowned Speakers: Presentations by experts from institutions such as GEOMAR, USGS, University of Innsbruck, and Kyoto University.
  • Interdisciplinary Focus: Emphasis on bridging land-based and marine earthquake studies to enhance seismic hazard assessment.

The workshop is organized in partnership with ECORD, reflecting our continued commitment to advancing geoscientific understanding through international collaboration. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to discussions, share their expertise, and shape future research directions.
