i-CREATE Workshop Announcement

Applications for the Impact Crater Evolution and Terrestrial Environmental Consequences (i-CREATE) Workshop are OPEN!

Join us to develop new IODP/ICDP drilling proposals for major impact craters like Chicxulub and Nadir. This workshop will focus on investigating the effects of hypervelocity impacts on the planetary crust and respective environmental consequences.

When: 27 April - 1 May 2026 (3-day workshop + optional field trip)
Application Deadline: 19 December 2025
Location: Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK
Field Trip: Stac Fada Member impact ejecta sequence, NW Highlands
Capacity: Limited to ~45 participants
