BASE Core Sampling Party 2

The second ICDP BASE project (Barberton Archean Surface Environments, South Africa) core sampling party at the in BGR Berlin-Spandau took place successfully.

Scientists from around the world were busy collecting samples to elucidate the early evolution of life and environment preserved in drill cores dating back 3.3 billion years from the Barberton Mountains region in South Africa.
