ICDP Training Course 2024 (May 12-17, 2024 at KTB, Germany)

ICDP invites scientists from upcoming scientific drilling projects to apply for the ICDP Training Course on Continental Scientific Drilling to be held from May 12-17, 2024 at the Geocenter KTB in Windischeschenbach (Germany). The training course will touch upon relevant aspects of continental scientific drilling, including drilling and coring techniques, sample types and sampling methods, data and sample management, downhole logging and testing, seismic monitoring, outreach, and project planning and management. The training course is recommended for early career researcher, including master students, doctorate students and post-docs involved in running of upcoming scientific drilling.

Deadline for application is Januar 1st, 2024. Decisions will be communicated by end of January. Preference will be given to applicants involved in ICDP drilling projects, applicants from ICDP member countries, developing countries, and those from countries considering ICDP membership. For the successful candidates, expenses including those for travelling, visa, meals and accommodation will be covered by ICDP. Applications should include a letter of interest, CV, and at least two letters of support.
