After multiple attempts, the 5 inch casing used to support the DOSECC coring string would not reach the bottom of the open hole interval. It was decided to remove this casing and use a conventional core barrel with a downhole motor. In the photo, some of the 5 inch casing is shown being laid down by the crew in preparation for a reaming run.
