Drilling has resumed at 12,570 feet (measured depth) following a routine bit replacement. Cuttings samples (and a fossil fragment from the northeast side of the fault) have been sent to Menlo Park for analysis. Drilling mud samples are being analyzed for grain size distribution and composition to see if there is a change in clay content in the mud before, during and after drilling through the fault zone.
